  • Volcom "Open Air" episode two - Into the Silverton Backcountry

    Wish that was you?

The second round of footage from Cheryl Maas' winter last year is out and ready for your eyes to see. After being followed and filmed for six months Cheryl is starring in the series "Open Air" and brings her shred experiences last season to the public.

Episode two shows Cheryl as she embarks on a trip to the Silverton backcountry with heavy hitters Kimmy Fasani and Hana Beaman. All in all, this chicks are beasts. Not in a women's softball kind of way - in a big mountain riding kind of way. Double backflips, massive powder slashes, and amazing bluebird conditions, the crew couldn't have asked for a better trip. Watch the ladies get after it below and if you missed Episode One, watch it HERE.

  • P.S. Thompson Pass kicks ass...and is cloudy

Great news, Hana Beaman didn't die on the way to Alaska. She also apparently is really good at putting pieces of wood in stoves. Get ready for another episode of SNOWBOARDER Mag's "P.S."

After hibernating in a tent during a massive storm and flipping numerous snowmobiles after- wards, the group gets their AK moment and gets some shredding done at Thompson Pass. They also happen to be in Alaska during King of the Hill and make their way over to the big mountain contest notorious for some of the burliest snowboarding you'll ever bear witness to. It's safe to say that most people would agree that if Hana Beaman's riding was one thing - it's burly.

  • P.S. All Roads Lead to Alaska

Ready to get some more Hana Beaman in your life? SNOWBOARDER's webside series starring this crazy chick just busted out another episode of "P.S." entitled - All Roads Lead to Alaska. Oh, do they? Road trip!

This edit Hana and Alexis Waite get their hands on some military equipment much to my surprise in Washington and do some mud-mobbing in thanks. They then shwoop to Snowqualmie for the epic Ride Shakedown event where Hana does her thing with the microphone and her and SNOWBOARDER editor Pat Bridges test out some "progressive" product at the demo.

Last but not least the crew sets out for the Yukon Territory where they are willing the weather to be prime. Anything can go down in Alaska - but amazing moments are sure to come. The next episode drops April 13th.

  • P.S. Who Brought the Tea and Crumpets?

Foreigners make everything better. Alright...maybe that's not a true statement. But for the most part - when you have some kids around with accents who like to snowboard and get loco, it ends up being a pretty good situation.

In Hana Beaman's latest webisode of "P.S." on SNOWBOARDER, she is cruising around Telluride with a few friends from across the pond including Ms. Jenny Jones, Angus Leith, and Nate Kern. The crew scores loads of backcountry goodness in southern Colorado and charges the open road towards Silverton where they encounter a few obstacles. What's a decent road trip without a few setbacks right?

Watch "P.S. Who Brought the Tea and Crumpets?"...

And stay tuned for the next episode March 30th.
