He moved to California in 1997 to pursue a career in skateboarding. He won many vert contests in the 2000s, proving a new, more technical style to vert skating to be a winning one. He is one of the better vert skaters to incorporate flip tricks in to a vert run, more than just a kickflip grab. Jake brown is, unfortunately, most notable for a mega ramp fall during the 2007 X Games (he took second place despite it though). Falling anywhere from 45-50 feet up in the air to flat, wooden ground, Jake Brown eventually got up and WALKED away from the ramp. A fall that very well could have paralyzed or even killed him, only had a few cracked bones and bruises for Jake. It's amazing to say the least. Jake Brown is still skating today. Progressing the dwindling discipline of vert skating and remaining on top of the game. My BrandsMy VideosComments
