A D V E R T I S E M E N T My Info| Name: | Jake Weimer | | Hometown: | Burley, Burley United States | | Gender: | Male | | Description: | In 2007, Jake Weimer enters his second year as a Lites rider for the SoBe No Fear/Samsung/Honda Motocross Team. He is contesting the West Supercross Lites series and the Motocross Lites season, well armed with the championship-winning Honda CRF250R. And he'll also hold in store a number of valuable lessons he learned last year, his first season as a pro rider. Let's look back for a moment to a warm California evening in January 2006 as a rookie Jake Weimer, fresh off his 18th birthday celebration, gridded on the starting line minutes before the Anaheim 1 Lites race flagged off-his first race ever in this renown stadium. What was going through his mind? Weimer recounts, "For me, it was pretty emotional. I had been working toward this since I was four years old. Of course, when you're four you don't really know where you really want to go with your life, but since the time I was about 11 years old, this is where I knew I always wanted to be. So you work your tail off for several years and you think, 'Am I gonna make it? Oh, I think I am. Oh, I think I'm not.' And then to be there on a team like ours, it was increadible. It was amazing. It was the big next step towards achieving my dream, my dream to become a champion." |
