| Jamie Thomas On FireThe crew over at Insight have a new website up, and have put together a hot video of Jamie Thomas. Literally, Thomas kills his skate facility with his board in flames. Channels: Skate Overkill By Jamie Thomas![]() A year or so ago INsight clothing became part of the Black Box Distribution family. Translation: Enter The Chief, aka Jamie Thomas. If there's one thing he knows how to do it's skateboard and keep a a skateboard company in the black, in more ways than one. Thomas started Zero skateboards more than a decade ago, which was followed by Black Box Distribution in 2000, and the rest is history. Fast-forward ten years and the distribution company is going strong with brands such as: Mystery, Fallen, $lave, INsight and most recently, Threat, all under the Black Box umbrella. To further get his venture with Australian clothing brand, INsight, going he created Overkill. An INsight-ful look into skateboarding that includes: a magazine, a video and a clothing line. He blew my generation's mind with his end section in Toy Machine's Welcome to Hell. Then, he went and started his own deck company, Zero, and put out some of the best videos of the time, and still is. He then went and started his own distribution company, Black Box Distribution, to distribute the Zero decks along with every other company that forms under the Black Box umbrella: Mystery, Fallen, $LAVE, and now Insight. The Chrome Ball Incident is a cool blog that posts older interviews, pictures, ads, features, etc. from different archived skate magazines. So, say you really liked an old Toy Machine ad from 1996. Well, if you look hard enough you made just find it over there. That said. The Chrome Ball Incident also does original interview, and they recently sat down with the Chief himself, Jamie Thomas, to talk about what else? Skateboarding. Click here to check it out. They really had a tough job," said MMC creator Joe Maloof. "They set out to put together the best collection of skateboarders to ever enter a contest and I think they did just that. One thing the committee agreed on was that there are too many amazing pros out there, creating a list of 48 skaters was really the key to putting together an unparalleled roster. Besides the big names like P-Rod and Chris Cole, we've got some highly respected skaters like Mike Carroll, Dustin Dollin and Marc Johnson who don't usually skate contests, and some amazing guys who are competing at MMC for the first time like Justin Brock and Anthony Van Engelen. With a group of skaters this talented and diverse, the field is wide open and fans are in store for a spectacular competition June 5-6." "The best skaters, handpicked with Thrasher, ready to take a bite out of the Big Apple. Got it." said Jake Phelps, Thrasher Editor in Chief and head of 2010 selection committee.
