| Jay Miron sells Macneil and Ten PackMore time for ice hockey? I dunno. Jay Miron has sold Macneil BMX and Ten Pack Distribution to has partners Darcy and Jamie. Jay is moving on from BMX which is a bummed because he was one of the cooler dudes keeping it real in the "sport". But I'm sure he'll do something else that's awesome so good luck to him and whatever he decides to do next. Jay's words from Macneil: "I have some pretty big news to announce. I have sold MacNeil Bikes, and Ten Pack Distribution to my business partners Darcy Saccucci and Jamie McIntosh who'll continue to run them like normal. I've also shut down Metro Events. After spending my entire life either on a bike, or working in the bike business I'm walking away from it. While it's pretty scary leaving it all behind, I'm super excited for the new life that lies ahead. I haven't yet decided what that life will be. I'm going to take a while to relax and see what comes up. I want to thank everyone whom I've ridden with, partied with, and worked with over the years. I especially want to thank Darcy, Jamie and everyone else that's worked with me at MacNeil and Ten Pack. It's been amazing!" ![]() Channels: Bike Casey Stein. You are a man now, son!Casey Stein is the winner of the you are a man now, son" contact by Macneil BMX. Apparently, he won hands down considering the entry limitations and the other entrants' passport issues. Regardless! This is sick and I hope some great videos and photos get plastered on the internet from this kid's birthday with the Macnil homies... click the link to read a little interview with the man himself!!! Jay is the BEaST! http://www.macneilbmx.com/blog/2009/05/your-a-man-now-winner/ ![]() Channels: Bike Win a Trip with the MacNeil TeamHere's a wild one. MacNeil is planning a skatepark jam/weekend party thing in Ottawa, Canada, in early June, and if your 18th birthday falls on or between June 7 and June 12, you've got a chance to win an all-expense-paid trip to Ottawa to party and ride with the team. Why are only 18th birthday celebraters eligible? Well, in the glorious province of Quebec, the legal drinking age is 18. Get it? So, the opportunity to session with and hang out with the MacNeil team guys is pretty awesome to begin with, and the chance to get a three-year jump on the legal drinking age in the States ain't bad, either. Now, the MacNeil crew isn't interested in "babysitting some idiot who's so drunk he goes to jail or chokes on his own vomit," so keep in mind that riding is the priority. All the rules can be found on their site here. In other MacNeil news, team shredder Gary Young just had reconstructive surgery on BOTH knees, so he had some time to fill out a Q&A over on the Dig site. Hope you're back on the bike soon, Gary.
