About
Jill Kintner has pedaling in her blood and what must be the most diverse rack of world championships in the bike world. As a dominating world champion in BMX, the Seattle native traded in her 20-inch wheels for knobby tires and mountain riding after becoming frustrated by a lack of support for women's BMX. As the undisputed queen of mountain cross (or "4 Cross"), a fast, furious mountain bike sprint with four riders racing at a time, Jill became a four-time US National Champion and won almost every race she entered.
But when BMX came knocking at her door about the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Jill came back to her first love to earn bronze. From her winter home in Australia's Blue Mountains where she trains with her boyfriend, downhill racer Bryn Atkinson, Jill's not ruling anything out for her future, including downhill racing. For the time being, she's content to kick butt on any two wheels, big or small.
