| AboutAussie Josh Sanders grew up surfing off the south east coast of Australia. Surfing quickly translated into wakeboarding, as his father would often use his fishing boat to tow Josh around on his surfboard. At the age of 16, Josh decided to move to the U.S. to pursue a career in wakeboarding. Since turning pro, Josh has gone on to win some of the sport’s top contests and awards, including the first-ever King of Wake crown. His raw natural talent and tireless work ethic not only make him a threat for the top spot at every contest, but it also earned him a spot in the Australian Wakeboard Hall of Fame. Josh is one of the busiest men in wakeboarding between competing in nearly every event around the world, running a wakeboard tour for the public, distributing Supra boats in Australia, filming and producing television shows. The Australian lives the endless summer, dividing his time between Orlando and Australia. Josh is returning to X Games for the 5th time in '05, but has never won a medal. The Aussies, who have always had a reputation for being partiers, are now starting to take the competition scene more seriously. Josh won the U.S. Open in 2000 and placed 2nd at the Vans Triple Crown event in April 2001. It was his first big win as a pro.
