He started doing national competitions in Finland in 1996 and landed himself a sponsorship with Lamar. After taking 2nd place in the Junior World Championships in 1997, his team manager whisked him away to the States for his first U.S. Ope contest. This was his entrance into the US snowboard scene. Although he had built his career up until then on pipe riding, he gave it up after competing in the '98 Nagano Olympics to follow his dream of filming. His first ever video part was with Standard films in 99 and won him Best Video Part of the year in the Transworld Poll Awards. He continued to film with Standard until 2002 at which time he set up the production company 'Robot Food' with some friends. He has now been filming with MDP since 2004 and in 2006 he filmed his own instructional movie "Jumping with Jussi" with them. My Videos |
