Kai Barger is the tip of the spear for Hawaii's next generation of world beaters. Barger's explosive surfing helped him with the Billabong ASP World Junior Championship in 2009, and he hasn't slowed since. This year Barger has taken out the Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro and the Nike 6.0 Junior Championships held at the U.S. Open of Surfing. His next mission is to parley his success onto the WQS where he can make a run at surfing's big leagues. Barger will be competing in Bali later this year at the Oakley Global Surf Challenge, where he'll face his Australian counterpart Owen Wright, who's four for four on the Austrlian pro junior circuit. This one will get interesting.
