However, young Kai Ellison has been able to establish himself amongst the V-Town greats with his smooth style and explosive surfing.

His backyard is a 100 yard, screaming right, which he uses as a training ground to perfect his backhand attack. Under the tutelage of Sean "Purple" Hayes and with a sparring partner in Dane Reynolds, Kai has upped his game massively, in and out of the water.

After a great amateur career, Kai has redirected his focus into 'Searching' for perfect waves, which has made him a great advocate for Rip Curl. His travels have led him all over the globe to the likes of Indo, South Africa, Tahiti, Hawaii, and Mexico.
