"Skindog" stays true to his Santa Cruz roots. He charges some of biggest waves the world has to offer, gets plenty of media attention, and does all this without any sponsors. Sure, he does get hooked up by Volcom and Channel Islands, but that's just flow. He is the Volcom Northern California rep, meaning he really has to work for his money.

Collins rips all kinds of waves but he truly shines in the big stuff. He's a regular in the Maverick's lineup and gets his fair share of big waves at other spots around the world. This past year he won "XXL Ride of the Year" and "Monster Tube of the Year" at the 2007 XXL Awards in Anaheim, CA.
