  • Brain Wash Premier

In a year of some major skate video releases. You know the ones Stay Gold, Hallelujah, Origins, etc. Videos years in the making with no shortage of hype, a street skateboarding legend and his loyal team had been quietly putting together a video of their. Several of the guys on the team had parts in the above mentioned video, but that didn't stop them from still getting clips for their fearless leader.

Last night, The Tempster, aka Ed Templeton, and his company Toy Machine premiered thier latest video release Brain Wash. I wasn't there because I'm taking a bit of a self induced break from the scene that along with skate video premiers, but the great folks over at Skateboarder Mag were. So, cruise over their and check out some photos of what went down.

  • Funny Notes

A few months back I posted this classic note from Leo Romero's neighbor. Well, today I stumbled upon a list of 20 of the funniest handwritten notes and it reminded me of the gem above. You know, notes from roomates or neighbors, etc. complaining about something. Like the formentioned note to Leo. The list is from a site called monofest.com (don't ask me what I was doging there I go on some pretty creepy sites and got linked to it somehow). Below are three of my favorites, click here to see the rest.

  • Ed + Leo Bro Lab

Ed Templeton and Leo Romero know each other pretty, pretty, pretty good. There's been some creepy nights out on the road, and since they share most of the sames sponsors, they're on tour together. Toy Machine, Emerica and RVCA are all brands that support the duo. Two of those brands Emerica, and Toy Machine, which was founded by The Tempster, got together for a little collab.

It's called the Bro Lab and it pretty much consisted of Emerica telling the two to do whatever they wanted to Leo's first signature shoe, The Leo 1. It's a lot like a classic court shoe, and these two pretty much ruined it, which is a good thing. They're like a beautiful disaster, or Beautiful Losers if you will (an art movie highlighting The Tempster's work).

Anyway, Emerica made a little video where the two explain what went into the making of the shoe:

  • A Leo Romero Clothing Collection By RVCA

Leo and Hulk. There better be some clothes Hulkster size. Photo: Jimmy

Leo Romero is one of the most cutting edge skateboarders out there, and RVCA's one of the most cutting edge clothing brands, so it only makes sense that they would get together, and they have been for some time. Leo, RVCA and TM Jimmy have been an item for more than a minute, featuring special appearances by creeptographer extraordinaire, Ed Templeton himself.

Now, the Costa Mesa duds dealer, and the Long Beach dwelling, motorcycle riding, handrail destroyer bring to you a signature collection. If you've always said to yourself, "Man, I wish I could dress like Leo." Well, now you can with the release of the RVCA Leo Romero Signature Collection.

Plus, they put together a little video to get you hyped, and so you can see how the threads look in action. Word on the street is, as soon as you put some these things on, you can instantly grind up handrails. Check it out below, and after you watch the movie read the note Leo's neighbor left him, it's the most polite "Shut The Hell Up Note" I've ever seen.
