| Heath Kirchart And Leo Romero: The New Faces Of Harley DavidsonHeath Kirchart cruising during the Emerica Wild Ride 2008. Photo: Timm Williams If you've been paying attention to skateboarding lately, then you know there has been sort of a skater-biker gang holding things down for the past few years. Not those corny, annoying and ever so colorful ninja street things, but real motorcycles. The kind you roll into a town and pillage on. Guys like: Heath Kirchart, Leo Romero, Slash and Pat O'Dell have been cruising all over with their boards in the bitch seat. In 2008 Emerica had their Wild Ride motorcycle tour, and a month or so ago O'Dell, Heath, Arto Saari and others cruised down to Mexico (which isn't exactly safe right now) on some hogs. Lately, the parking lot of the Cha Cha (LA skate bar) has been looking like the front of that biker bar Pee Wee Herman sangTequila at, in whatever movie that was. As a result one of the big dogs of the bike scene has taken notice. The Hells Angels have declared war on these guys, no just kidding. Seriously though, Harley Davidson has noticed, and recently made Leo Romero and Heath Kirchart, along with some hot biker ladies, and cameo from Slash, the faces of their brand new 2010 Sportster Forty-Eight. Check out the video below of the boys holding it down: RVCA Skate VideoThe crew over at the Artist Network have put together a little promo DVD featuring their skate team with full a part from Leo Romero. You can get a copy at a finer skate shop near you. ![]() Here's what TM, Jimmy, saw when he opened the box over at RVCA HQ. ![]() While you're at it you can get them to sign your copy May 16th at the Active store in Huntington Beach. Channels: Skate Meet The RVCA Skate Team TodayThat's if you live in the vicinity of wherever the hell Santa Maria, Ca is. Hey, if you're a Santa Maria high school girl ask Leo to prom, he might just take you. Channels: Skate RVCA California TourThe RVCA skate team will be touring through California, check the flier above for dates and locations. Speaking of RVCA, remember Leo Romero's f/s nose blunt up the ledge at Maloof? That was one sickest fucking things I've ever seen, and no one really made that big of a deal of it. Oh yeah, and how about when Dennis Busenitz, who's not on RVCA, I'm just getting sidetracked now, ollied the 14 ft. manual pad in between Tecates also at Maloof. Well anyway, if you live in California find the nearest location and check out the RVCA tour. Channels: Skate Leo On Toy MachineLeo Romero is now on Toy Machine, which seems like a better fit for him. I never really saw him hanging with the other Baker guys, and him and Ed have the whole RVCA thing in common, so it seemed pretty inevitable. I just read a pretty funny interview Skateboarder magazine did with him in the current issue. He talks about taking a 17-year-old girl to prom when he was 21, you know the usual dirty skate activities. Plus there's a rad shot of him doing a 50-50 up an 8 stair rail on the cover, check it out: ![]() First | < Previous | 1 2 |
