  • Marc Frank Montoya returns to Mountain High

Look who decided to show back up to Southern California's closet mountain resort. Marc Frank Montoya that's who. The burly urban rider has returned back to the team and fellow rider Nick Visconti sits down with MFM to have a little chat about him leaving Utah and moving up to LA's backyard playground.

Find out what feature he's most excited about, what made him return, what he's got in the works for the year, and why he thinks Mountain High is a good place to call home.

  • FODT x MFM present "Familia 2"

I honestly thought I was sick of snowboard teasers. Really and truly would throw myself out a window if I had to watch another one. Leave it to me to be completely wrong.

    Finger on Da Trigga
and Marc Frank Montoya were the ones to prove me wrong. They just dropped the teaser for "Familia 2", the hammer dropping sequel to their first "Familia" video and it got me excited for snowboard premiere season all over again.

Prime cinematography, creative riding, and natural bad asses - "Familia 2" will get your blood pumping and legs itching to get out there and shred. That's all you can really hope for in a legit shred video anyway.

Featuring Lucas Magoon, Dylan Thompson, Marc Frank Montoya, Andrew Brewer, Jake Devine, Johnnie Paxson, Derek Dennison, Jonah Owen, and more.

  • America's Next Top Pro Model 2011

"The ANTPM pays homage to riders like Jeff Brushie, Peter Line, Noah Salasnek, and the almighty Terje Haakonsen, whose timeless topsheets and bad-ass base graphics still resonate within snowboarding's modern collective. Our objective with this event is to rejuvenate the stoke that comes with both watching them ride and buckling in to their boards.

This past July, SNOWBOARDER invited over a dozen current pros with self-endorsed sticks to High Cascade Snowboard Camp to battle it out in six different disciplines in order to determine which rider is strapping in atop the best pro model on the market.

MFM, Bryan Fox, Chris Bradshaw, Kyle Clancy, Austin Smith, Joe Sexton, Lauri Heiskari, Keegan Valaika, Chris Grenier, Iikka Backstrom, Lucas Magoon, Lane Knaack, Derek Dennison, Heikki Sorsa, Aaron Biittner, and Jesse Burtner made the trek to Timberline to try their hand at the title, and they surely didn't disappoint."

  • GrindTV's Top Ten (Plus One) 2010 Teasers

Considering it's almost September (we like to round up over here at GrindTV Snow) and that is the month that the masses have been promised the releases of their favorite 2010 snowboard videos; we have taken it upon ourselves to compile a list of teasers that...well, teased us the most.

We do realize there has been a plethora of trailers put out by every shred crew on Earth and their mother. Don't hate if we missed your favorite mid-west posse or Colorado next door neighbor; that trailer was more than likely sick, however, we are the ones picking here so...deal with it.

Top Ten (Plus One) 2010 Teasers

    (in no particular order)

Euro Gap - Pablo Films: Apparently, there were two previous Euro Gap movies made in the late 90's and the Euros decided to make a comeback. We love rowdy behavior in itself but pair it with debaucherous snowboarding? Where do we sign up? This film looks to have enough banger riding, riders, locations, shots, and fun times for everyone. Get ready for FREE streaming in the near future. Oh, and watch out for that opening clip, it'll get ya.

9191 - Volcom/Veeco Productions: Wanna follow Gigi Ruf and his friends around? Well, this film does. With a history of damn legit and distinctive films, Volcom sparks interest when they are involved with anything. This teaser sends out a little bit of magic through the music and deep turns. Let it tug at your heart strings.

Hello World - Alterna Films: Is it weird that Alterna Films is now associated with a "Sandstorm" dance party thanks to the intro of their 2009 film, "Elektro?" Probably. Regardless if that is a good thing or a bad thing...(good thing)...this teaser inspires us to take the world by snowboarding storm. A teaser one liner - "Sometimes it just feels good to do a method..." wraps up what this trailer does: reminds us to celebrate and enjoy every second we have strapped onto a board. "Hello World" strives to be a global assault on snowboarding with a stacked list of familiar shred faces.

Homies 3: The Frenchies got us stoked. Nico Droz and friends send it in this trailer; encompassing the best part of snowboarding - your buddies. With a perfect beat in the background, you will be strapping in halfway through the teaser. A little under the radar, "Homies 3" brings us back to what got us started in the first place and of course, why we still do it.

The Storming - Standard Films: Reminds us a little bit of their Black Winter teaser but you know what? That's okay, Black Winter was all time. Straight and to the point, "The Storming" teaser is bold and gnarly. Not usually fans of metal but if they wanted to portray bad ass, it worked. Big names. Big riding, Big mountains. We're betting the finished product will blow minds.

Bon Voyage - Videograss: These rail killers are getting together again to take over the street scene in skinny jeans. Mikey Leblanc is still ripping, just in case you didn't know, and they somehow convinced a double of Santa Claus in overalls to do a jig. If a teaser can get us to crack up while getting us amped to snowboard, we'd say it was a success.

Let's Make Better Mistakes Tomorrow - Peep Show Films: The ladies are alright. By alright, we mean flippin' bad mama jamas (if this term is foreign to you, click HERE). The Peep Show babes get after it - get seriously broke off, bloody, and injured - then get after it again. This teaser shows you fearless, ripping, talented chicks; on camera and off. Always with a creative perspective and always leaving us with a little somethin', somethin' after watching their films - Let's Make Better Mistakes Tomorrow is sure to be a gem.

F' It - Forum Snowboards: "Forever" might still have us in a daze. Claiming the Transworld Video of the Year award in 2009, we already know what Forum is capable of. An all-around crew that constantly pushes the boundaries of filming and snowboarding, we can sense the world is anticipating this flick. The teaser brings the ridiculousness we can all appreciate riding to Kenny Loggins' "Playing With The Boys" plus, with the addition of The Contract to Forum's board collection, we get to see "sex", "drugs", and "rock n' roll" flying all over the place.

The Arena - FODT & MFM: This teaser makes us appreciate those gangster kids even more than we do already. Aside from the outerwear and tees that double as nightgowns and the typical hip hop soundtrack, "The Arena" shows these riders attacking everything in their path. To say they are boldly charging sketchy-ass set ups and stomping them is an understatement. Marc Frank Montoya is bringing the heat with this one.

Now You Know - Sandbox Films: With Sandbox Films' track record, we can only hope they one up themselves again. "Now You Know" looks to be just one damn classic snowboard movie filled with legit riding and tons of backcountry booters. Loaded with underdogs we can't help but root for alongside the impact of their flick, "Shine On" from last year, we are hyped. More than likely underrated; don't write this one off...it will surprise you.

In Color - Transworld Snowboarding: Since the beginning of time, Transworld Snowboarding has seemed to be the world's go-to publication for what the cool kids are doing. TWS pretty much has the snowboarding industry on lock which is why we are once again, trusting their 2010 film "In Color". Never a lack of high quality filming, editing, and riding, Transworld consistently delivers. This trailer is claiming to depict the current state of snowboarding, in HD, with tons of heavy hitters. No matter what you say, we know you're stoked to see what they catch on camera.

Editors note: We really wanted to throw "Cheers" from the People Crew on this list but seeing how they still don't have a teaser up for their new movie...we couldn't really do that. However, for the record, we are excited to see it and are big fans of their videos in the past. That is all.

  • Windells Session Four Recap

To view full gallery from Session 4 click HERE.

It's hard to believe that summer is halfway over up at Mount Hood. When you're out at camp, it's easy to blink and suddenly it's the middle of July. Surprising to all of the staff out at Windells for the season, Session 4 just finished up.

Session 4 was a big one at Windells. So much went down that we figured we'd switch it up with this week's update and give you a highlighted list of what you missed (so you can make sure to be here this time next year). Drumroll please...

    1. The Technine Team was in town. MFM, Lucas Magoon, Chris Bradshaw, Dylan Thompson, Jonah Owen, Ben Bilodeau, Brady Larson and Jeremy Seige brought their signature high level of snowboarding to camp, continuing to back up the massive amounts of street cred that they have. The crew literally brought the street to the mountain, with a custom Technine dumpster built right into their Dream Feature.

    2. Bonfire's annual Pipe 2 Pipe hit the slopes and the Windells Diggers and the Bonfire crew kept it old school with a jib-oriented mini pipe that quickly separated the boys from the men (the girls had their own division).

    3. This year marked the first year the skate portion of P2P broke out of BOB and spilled out onto the concrete jungle. Pro finals was downright amazing, words don't do justice to the level of skating that was going down, which is probably why announcers, Torey and Johnny Castro, spent half the time yelling "oooooh!" into the mics.

    4. Think Thank came to camp and put on a premiere of their new flick, Right Brain, Left Brain for the lucky campers. Jesse Burtner brought down a huge group of his riders to hang out. It was a blast.

    5. The Technine crew started a giant food fight one night, during their powdered donut-eating contest. Over 300 donettes filled first, the mouths of campers trying to win Technine gear and then, took to the air as the contest ended and everyone started winging the little powdered circles all over the place. Powdered sugar was everywhere, coated everybody in the vicinity and left a huge mess on the kitchen porch. 100%, this is what camp is all about.

    6. We could go on, but the list is getting lengthy, so we'll leave you with the photos and the tip that Session 5 is up next with Burton Team riders, Mark Sollors, Charles Reid, and Zak Hale. Stay tuned to www.windells.com/blog for updates!
