Nicola Butler grew up surfing in South Africa before moving to England at the age of 8-years old. While in England she picked up wakeboarding and started riding in contests throughout the U.K. A few short years later she decided to turn pro at the age of 15 and moved to the States to compete. Within the first two years of her pro career, Nicola captured a Pro Tour title, a world title and the first-ever Queen of Wake crown. Her progressive style of riding and fearless mindset has set the bar high for all female riders. She is the current Queen of Wake after winning the Forth Worth stop on the tour.
