It is a known fact that at some point this summer, snowboard companies and their teams will be taking over Windells, High Cascade, or in Priscilla Levac's case, Camp of Champions. ![]() Priscilla is born and bred in Canada so of course you will see this lady killing it up at Whistler. Founder of CILLA layers, Levac made sure that they did a collaboration with Camp of Champions in order to bring all their team riders together to share some shred sessions, represent their bad ass women specific layers as well as stoke out all the campers that came out to hang! CILLA is stepping it up for the 2010/11 snow season with a ton of additional pieces, water proof band options, more street wear apparel, accessories, and high quality fabrics. ![]() Megan Middleton Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those ladies mobbing past you with a little bit of flare hanging beneath their outerwear, more than likely, it'll be CILLA and you'll want some of your own. Photos by Crispin Cannon Waiting For Cilla To Make The Move To SocalI'm going to be honest; I already bought my outer wear for this winter season. Actually, I bought it in August and it's just now starting to snow in the U.S. Is that weird? Anyway, my point is that a vital part of my winter outer wear (and a lot of girls) is the first layer I choose. Last season was the first year that I got my hands on a Cilla first layer. I'm never going back to any other company. For those of you ladies who haven't discovered this company, it was started by Priscilla Levac in 2007 and is based out of Canada where she is from. The fact that it was started by such a stand up female rider like Priscilla is just one of the reasons this company is so legit. Also because this girl has been through so much and still continues to be passionate about so many things. The past few years have been quite a roller coaster for Priscilla with huge injuries and huge comebacks and then realizing her contract with her longtime board sponsor, Ride, was not being renewed. Still, she continues to impress with her dedication to her company and it's creativity and growth as well as staying true to herself. So, all we ask of her now is, let us support your company and help us stock up on the new collection down here in the lower half of California! The basis for her brand was her battle with trying to find a first layer that was functional as well as fashionable. I think a lot of girls can relate to that, I mean, I was never excited about what first layer I was going to get, it didn't really matter as long as it did its job and kept me warm and dry but was breathable. That was until I spotted my friend Nicole riding past me up at Sierra-At-Tahoe with zebra print waterproof fabric sticking out underneath her jacket. I chased her down and asked her where the hell she got it. I own two different styles in Cilla's first layer tops and finally don't have a non-waterproof long t-shirt frozen to my ass. There are so many options for different kinds of conditions and they are all super cute, comfortable, and can be worn off the mountain. However, I was fortunate enough to live in Tahoe for awhile and that's the only place that had them readily available for sale in California. The point of me writing about Cilla in the start of the 09/10' winter is this: We all want more and I'm a huge fan of Priscilla. This year's collection is going to have a lot more color ways and styles. I pretty much check their website everyday to see if they have them available in Southern California yet. C'mon guys, think about us poor antsy chicks down here that are ready to spice up our outfits for the mountains. Thanks. I'll be checking your site later on today. Check out some photos of what all the fuss is about... ![]() ![]() ![]() Page 1 of 1 | ||||||||
