Nestled in the French Alps, in the cozy mountain village of Tignes Le Claret, a pristine 22' superpipe was the sight of extreme action during the women's halfpipe finals at the second annual Euro X Games.

All week, the international riders spoke highly of the pipe, claiming it was the best size and shape they've ridden all season. The high praises for the enormous U-tube were stopped short today by a storm that crept in and turned conditions from perfect to perilous. Low..

About

Queralt Castellet is a Spanish snowboard Olympian. She competed at the 2006 Olympic games and finished tenth in halfpipe at the 2007 World Snowboard Championships. During the 07-08 Snowboarding World Cup circuit she placed on the podium three times and she placed third overall in the halfpipe. She just took home first place in the 2009-10 Winter Dew Tour Breckenridge stop in the superpipe competition for the first time.
