Raging Pull was an event held by nike 6.0 to bring everyone out and just ride. Ben talks about why they went the route of just a ride day. Ben Horan is always on the fore front of progression of the sport with the rest of his team members and this is just an example of how crazy wakeskating is getting. This event is just another example of nike 6.0 dedication to the sport. When everyone else wont help the sport when most needed Nike 6.0 stepped up to the plate by sponsoring some wakeskating's best riders and putting on great events for the sport. Orlando, Fla. - Fans packed shores of the Orlando Watersports Complex in Orlando, Fla. today for the final rounds of action at the 2009 ROCKSTAR WWA Wakeboard World Championships, presented by Supra. In the Pro Women division, Orlando's own Dallas Friday made a splash on her hometown waters today, winning her first world title since 2006 - her fourth of her career. England's Nicola Butler finished in second place, while Aussie Amber Wing took third. Canada's Aaron Rathy edged out 15-year-old Australian rookie phenom Harley Clifford 87.50 to 85.00 in today's Pro Men division finals to win his first world title. Clifford and former two-time world champ Andrew Adkison rounded out the contest podium, respectively. The 2009 Worlds served as the final event in both the King of Wake and Queen of Wake series. With today's wins, both Aaron Rathy and Dallas Friday were launched to the top of the series overall point standings, earning Rathy his first King of Wake crown and Friday her first Queen of Wake crown. Both riders received a cash bonus and a year's worth of bragging rights. During today's contest, Shaun Murray claimed the ROCKSTAR Best Trick Award for his massive Heelside 540 of off the U.S. Air Force kicker. The Award is a $1,000 cash prize. Defending world champ Reed Hansen of Groveland, Fla. faced off in a fierce five-man final today in the Pro Wakeskate division to win his third consecutive world title - the most any pro wakeskater has won in the history of the sport. Stuart Shinn and Brandon Thomas rounded out the podium. In the Jr. Pro Men's division, riders battled it out in a six-man final for the world title. All six riders threw down some impressive runs, but Aussie Mitch Langfield topped the competition to win his first World Championship. Daniel Powers and Steel Lafferty rounded out the contest podium, respectively. Channels: More Reed Hansen and Matt Manzari get down! Recently Reed Hansen and Matt Manzari came out to the projects to session the rail park. The water level has been abnormally high this year and most of the rails are quite small. Reed and Matt like to go big! Reed is one of the most consistent wakeskaters in the world. Wether its rails, boat or flat water Reed never fails to impress. One of Reed's newest tricks is popping kickflips onto rails. Who knows where Reed will take it from there. Flip tricks on Flip tricks out and the possibilities are endless. Matt Manzari just recently switched over to CWB boards after riding for Gator for as long as anyone can remember after Cassette closing down. Matt always seems to be on a bi-level and with the new dual level board from CWB Matt is right at home. In similar form to Reed, Matt also got down on the incline. Front bigs out, Frontboard 270 shuv out, Backbig out, Front shuv out and so many more the guys are unstoppable on the familiar incline. If you didn't already know Reed and Matt are best friends. If their in the same state I can tell you they are together. Riding together, hunting together, building their 4x4 trucks together, these guys are two peas in a pod. Its funny too that wakeskating was the common thing that brought them together in the beginning. So when your out riding this summer and meet another shredder who knows. You guys might end up being life long friends because of wakeskating. "The world's premier wakeskate series is ready to begin, with the Rockstar Winch Jam set to go off at the Orlando Watersports Complex in Orlando, Florida on April 23-24. This event will coincide with the WWA Air Nautique Wake Games during the kickoff of the King Of Wake Series, which also includes a wakeskate boat event. Riders will appreciate the new format allowing winch hits down into the lake as well as a reverse direction from lake up into the Rockstar pool. Semi-finalists will be challenging for six open spots into the 12-man finals. Six other spots are already reserved for past Toe Jam Champions. The Rockstar Winch Jam title will be awarded for "Best Trick."
