Rob Machado is a busy man these days. Between scheduling an upcoming concert tour, showcasing his movie, and traveling the world for surf, it's a wonder he has any free time at all. Amid a crammed schedule, we managed to pencil ourselves in for an interview to get his thoughts on going back on tour, dealing with nerves, and hosting a Pro Junior contest/superhero themed golf tournament. Rob Machado hails from Cardiff, California and is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. All of that aside, he is one of the most talented, stylish and versatile surfers to ever set foot on a surfboard. Anything from an INT soft board at knee high Cardiff Reef to second reef at Pipeline, Rob approaches both with the same smooth precision. A WCT warrior, a Pipe Masters champion, a Taylor Steele video subject, Rob has done it all. Rob now surfs select events, travels, chases big swells, puts on his own contest and charity events, plays music, and spends time with his family.
