After easily winning both Semi-Pro titles and crushing the Pros in Stock at Lake Geneva 2005, Martin was expected to be a top threat in '05/'06. And after a slow start, he is. Swept the Pro finals at Canterbury in Jan, '06 and has 4 podiums through 8 races. Has a smooth, easy style but often initiates contact on the track; he's not popular with his peers.
Currently a Semi-Pro racer, Martin actually competed in several events as a Pro in '02/'03, when he stepped in for the injured D.J. Eckstrom on the Amsoil/Scheuring Speed Sports team. The quiet Martin went back to Semi-Pro to start the '03/'04 season. Got his WX spot when Carl Schubitzke was injured in Jan. '04.
