Ross Powers is a snowboarding legend. One of only two athletes to have competed at every WXG, he has won nearly every title in snowboarding including WX ('98 Halfpipe amp; Slopestyle), Grand Prix Overall ('05), New Zealand Open ('05), European Open ('04), US Open ('03, '99), and the 2002 Olympic Halfpipe gold / 1998 Olympic Halfpipe bronze. Even though Ross has been riding as a pro for over a decade, he continues to stay on top of his game, progressing the sport. In '06 he will make an attempt at a 3rd Winter Olympics, in Torino, ITA.
No single snowboarder is more popular around the world than Ross Powers. With titles from the U.S. Open ('98, '03), Goodwill Games ('00), U.S. Grand Prix Finals ('99), Vans Triple Crown Overall Title ('00), the Winter X Games ('98) and the Winter Olympics (gold '02). No one goes bigger more consistently in the pipe than Ross Powers. With a full decade of professional snowboarding under his belt Ross powers is not slowing down or getting soft. Like the sport itself, Ross Powers is spinning further, riding faster, going bigger, and getting more technical in '04 than ever before.
No stranger to the top of the podium, Ross Powers has won every title in halfpipe over the course of his career including: the 1998 and 2003 US Open, the 2000 Goodwill Games, the 1999 Grand Prix finals, the 2000 overall VTC, gold at WX '98 and another gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Powers is the 1998 Olympic Halfpipe bronze medalist and one of the world's most dominant pipe riders. He started the Ross Powers Foundation to help under-funded Vermont kids who want to be competitive riders.
