The high flyin' Brazilian has been overshadowed through most of his career by other champions, but landing the 900 in 2004 and then landing it in competition runs brought him into the limelight. The #1 skater on the World Cup World ranking for three years running landed the legendary 900 in a timed competition run in 2004, but his 900 in XG 11 Vert was a first at X. He ended up with his first X Games Vert medal, the bronze.
Landing the 900 won the high flyin' Brazilian the gold for Vert Best Trick in 2004. He then went on to put that spin into timed contest runs with success. Throughout his career, Sandro has been overshadowed by other champions, but after landing the 900 and being the only skater to use it in a timed run, the shadow passed. Sandro is the World Vert Champion (WCS) for the second year in a row ('03 and '04).
After time in his official vert run at Latin X Games (May 9, 2004), Sandro became the third person in history to land the 900. This high flyin' Brazilian attempted to land the trick during his Vert run at the Cleveland VTC in June '04, but didn't actually land it until the Best Trick contest, which he won, hands down.
Sandro is dedicated to everything he takes on in life. Along with being one of the top ten Vert skaters in the world, he is also a hardworking student finishing up his Business Management degree and an Administrator in the Management of Minerals at his father's company.
