| Team Kachinsky Wins Nike 6.0 HB BMX Pro Many would have thought that once Enarson's team won the first round they were bound to win the second as well, but with Corey Martinez and Sean Sexton on Kachinsky's team there were no guarantees. With that doubt, they put on a serious performance in the second round to take the lead by about 20 points to the overall score.Unfortunately for Reynolds, Danny Hickerson injured his knee and was replaced by Kelly Bolton, who is an awesome rider, but the lost time would prove to be a hindrance as his team places last. Jason Phelan's team including Jeremiah Smith and Maxime Charveron took fourth; and Rob Wise's team featuring Pat Casey and Dakota Roche took third. Despite beings 30 points behind second place, I think the Wise team was a real threat to everybody having the best mix of park skills (Casey) and street skills (Roche). Martinez and Sexton really let it fly for the live contest and the ladies were cheerin' for sure. Martinez is a faithful, married Southern boy, but who knows about Sexton? The weekend was HOT for sure, and I mean temperature-wise. Once the morning fog burned off the guys were probably sweating pounds off, but athletes such as these aren't ones to say "it's too hot I need to stop" or something. Pat Casey might have been the biggest crowd pleaser, naturally, as he boosted higher than everyone and did some of the newest tricks on the box jump... Off-axis flip double whip. big Daddy is jealous. Dennis Enarson also joined the high air club, as expected, but he's become my new favorite rider (at least in contests). He's 100% full throttle going for it. Like an energizer bunny. I'm going to go watch all the video parts from the first round now and I hope you do as well. So much good riding went down this weekend. Congratulations to Kachinsky's team for taking the top spot in the second round and that big paycheck home... How do you split an even number three-ways? I guess Team Captain Kachinsky gets the extra penny... ![]() Channels: Bike Dennis Enarson's Team Wins Nike 6.0's "The Pool" If I was a judge at this event I may have just quit halfway through. The teams were so diversely talented and absolutely bringing it. In the end, I suppose Chad Kerley pretty much won this event for Team Enarson with some of the most ridiculous runs of the event, including a nose manual on the frighteningly high sub box. I think Harry Main's team would have won through overall impression if I were judging. Every rider on it did absolute bangers.Other stand out riders were Chase Hawk and Bas Keep blasting everything and bringing the best styles to the course. Pat Casey, Michael Beran, and Kyle Baldock brought some of the most technical and difficult tricks to The Pool. Drew Bezanson just killed everything as per usual and did one of the biggest wallrides of the night, but not the best. Best trick goes to Brian Foster's quarter to curved wallride without any loss of speed or style. The Blue Falcon lives on! As well as those accolades, there was the overall best rider which went to Dennis Enarson as voted on by the riders. What can you say? He IS the champ. Also was the best lines team, which basically refers to most creative ways to ride the environment, and this went to Ruben Alcantara's team that did a train consisting of Tom Dugan, Sergio Layos, Kevin Kalkoff, and Ruben himself. 1. Dennis Enarson, Chad Kerley, Jeremiah Smith, Josh Harrington 2. Drew Bezanson, Pat Casey, Michael Beran, Rob Wise 3. Harry Main, Alex Coleborn, Kyle Baldock, Ben Wallace 4. Bas Keep, Chase Hawk, Bruno Hoffmann, Dan Lacey 5. Garrett Reynolds, Sean Sexton, Paul Ryan Channels: Bike Odyssey's Chase Hawk and Sean Sexton in the Cayman IslandsWhoever thought of sending these guys to the Black Pearl skatepark in the Cayman Islands, if it wasn't themselves, is a genius. Not only did they ride the world's largest and probably most diverse skatepark in the world; they also got the entire Cayman Islands experience. I think this place just took the top spot on my travel list. ![]() Channels: Bike The Best of the Kink HouseThe Kink team may have been evicted from their rented home in SoCal, but that unforeseen event didn't prevent them from producing one epic highlight reel from the time spent in the area. It's good to see, however, that his riding hasn't slowed down a bit. Here's some street magic from one of the best guys in the game, Sean Sexton. Channels: Bike |
