In practice at XG 2003, Shane went down hard on a 900. He was not only unable to compete in XG, he was unable to compete in the rest of the '03 tour. He returned for the World Championships to claim a silver medal and then opened 2004 with a victory at X-Air in New Zealand. At the Cincinnati MSS (May '04), he surprised everyone with a huge carved 900 and a sequence of tricks that defied description. With his newfound love for Jesus Christ and a deep desire to get back on the podium, Shane is born again in 2004.

Shane is the 2000 ASA number one ranked vert skater in the world. His hard work, great attitude and determination has paid off in his three years of skating on the Pro circuit. Shane's skating has climbed to new heights by creating new tricks and pushing the level of skating up a notch gaining respect from his peers.
