Originally from Niagra Falls, Canada, Stef Tor moved to Lake Fredrica, Florida in 2003 to pursue wakeskating as a career. Lake Frederica is known as the training ground for half the riders on the Wake Pro Tour. Since then she has gone on to become one of the top female wakeskaters in the world while continuing to compete in the Pro Men Wakeskate division. Stef's most recent sponsors include: LA Fitness, Osiris, Jet Pilot, Liquid Force, Epic Camera Waterhousing, University Surf & Skate shop, and South East Correct Craft Seadoo Dealer.

In the off season, she also snowboards, skateboards, and recently started surfing.
