He is known as one of the most technical halfpipe riders in the world and at WX '04 his technical skills were in full force as he took WX gold in the SuperPipe. He had a disappointing showing at WX '05 placing 20th, but he has been focused on his pipe riding and hopes to return to the podium in 2006. Steve Fisher returns to Aspen in 2005 as the reigning WX SuperPipe champion. Steve is a member of the '05 U.S. Snowboarding team and living proof that the Midwest can produce insanely talented snowboarders. Steve's explosive technical arsenal includes a backside inverted 540 to frontside 1080 combo. He currently resides and rides in Breckenridge, CO. Not only did Steve open the 03/04 season with a victory at the Vans Triple Crown in Breckenridge, CO (12/03), he ended 02/03 on the same note, by taking 1st at the Grand Prix Finals in Aspen, CO (04/03). A member of U.S. Snowboarding team who is ranked 2nd on the WSF halfpipe rankings, Steve posseses dynamic halfpipe skills, including a backside inverted 540 to frontside 1080 combo. The Minnesota native exhibits calculated spin techniques and technical variety. |
