| Steve McCann's Triple Tailwhip on VertI just found video of Steve McCann's run at the Alli China Invitational - double whip, triple whip, and a 540 whip all in the same run, along with no-handed and turndown flairs. Not too shabby. This is only the second triple tailwhip to be landed in Vert competition - Francisco "Coco" Zurita did it the first time at the Cleveland Dew Tour in July 2007, and no one's done it since. It's worth noting that even with all that whip madness packed into Steve's run, Jamie Bestwick still managed to uncork an amazing second run with non-stop back-to-back moves, holding McCann to second place. Still, you have to wonder, does Stevie have a win coming this season? Results 1. Jamie Bestwick 2. Steve McCann 3. Chad Kagy 4. Simon Tabron 5. Jimmy Walker 6. Dennis McCoy 7. Kevin Robinson 8. Zack Warden Channels: Bike The Goose Lets LooseMongoose made some unexpected moves late last year, dropping contest heavyweights and longtime 'Goose guys Steve McCann and Simon Tabron, and they've made their reasons a bit more clear with the recent announcement of their replacements. Seems they're attempting to take the more "hardcore street" route, adding Philadelphia's J.J. Palmere and Tulsa's Miles Rogoish to the team for 2009 (Aussie Cam White remains on the team to hold down the dirt duties). They're already at work on a J.J. signature frame (pictured) with all the modern bells and whistles. It'll have a 21" top tube and removable brake mounts, and they say the proto weighs in at 4.5lbs. Check out The Come Up's interview with J.J. here, as well as the latest edits from J.J. and Miles below. VIMBY - J.J. Palmere Miles Rogoish Mongoose Web 1 from miles Rogoish on Vimeo.
