Tanner Foust is a winning competitor in rally, drift, ice racing and time attack with a proven track record of multiple podium placements and national championships. Foust has seen huge success in Drift and Rally in the last few seasons. In addition to winning the 2008 Formula Drift Pro Drift Championship repeating his the 2007 Championship, he also took the Silver medal as runner in the 2008 Summer X Games Pro Rally race. Tanner won the 2007 X Games Gold Medal in the Pro Rally for the Rockstar Energy Rally team, beating factory Subaru team members, Ken Block and FMX legend Travis Pastrana in spectacular head to head battle broadcast live nationally on ABC Sport from the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.
The highlight to Foustís 2008 season was being picked to represent Team USA in the annual Race of Champions at Wembley Stadium in London, UK this December. He teamed with Nascar star Carl Edwards to do battle with the worldís fastest drivers and riders from Formula One, World Rally Championship, Superbike and Touring Car racing.
Foust is a versatile and multi-talented driver known for his supreme car control with winning experience on and off road. His varied race experience includes multiple seasons of open wheel competition, the Pikes Peak Hill Climb (2002 Ė 2004), five Ice Racing championships, the 2005 PGT Rally Championship and the SCORE Baja 1000 in 2006 and 2007. He also holds class lap records at numerous US road courses in Time Attack.
Even if you havenít seen Foust on the track youíve likely witnessed his precision car control on TV or the big screen. He was a lead stunt driver in the Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, Bourne Ultimatum and Dukes of Hazzard movies, and also handles stunt driving in numerous popular TV shows and commercials. Foust is currently an on-air host for ESPNís Import Tuners and for Speed TVís Redline TV and RM Auctions. Through his role as host and co-producer on these shows his racing efforts from behind the scenes are often featured. Foust was also picked as co-presenter for the US version of the seminal BBC auto show, Top Gear.
For 2009 Tanner Foust will continue to compete with title sponsorship from and as a Rockstar Energy Drink athlete in Formula Drift in a Papadakis Racing built Scion tC, the Rally America series and X Games Rally. He will also contest numerous Time Attack events and is looking to compete in off road truck racing.
