  • Nine-year-old Kelly Sildaru is a better skier than you

At only nine years of age, Kelly Sildaru is already making waves with her newly released, self-titled skiing edit. The young-gun hails from Tallinn, Estonia, and has been skiing since she was just two years old. At age seven, she made her first appearance on Newschoolers with edit called Playgrounds, and has been gaining momentum ever since. In her latest video, which hit the web on Monday, Sildaru hits big jumps and massive rails, and spins both ways with confidence.

Even Tanner Hall took notice of this burgeoning star and tweeted in his classic all-caps style: "KELLY SILDARU COULD BE THE BEST PARK SHREDDER FOR GIRLS RIGHT NOW AND SHE IS ONLY 9 YEARS OLD! CHECK THIS EDIT."

We're impressed, Tanner's impressed. Are you?

    Shaun White's Face Slam

Shaun had a little face time with the lip of the superpipe during his practice run at Winter X Games. He slams so hard that his helmet explodes off his head and then flips backwards into the bottom of the pipe.

Tanner Hall comes up short and explodes on the landing of Chad's Gap. His fall was so explosive it was like his boots were packed with dynamite.

  • The Return of the Ski Show with Tanner Hall

The Ski Show, a former radio show all about skiing and its complexities is gearing up for action once again thanks to Powder Magazine's Mike Rogge.

Read on for what Rogge is envisioning for the new show and head to Powder.com for a candid interview with Tanner Hall on the first episode.

    Words: Mike Rogge

Tuesday nights in Burlington, Vermont, were kind of a big deal. For those not in the know, I hosted a radio program for eight months called The Ski Show. And it was one of the most fun jobs in the world. I never made a dime off it. Together with co-host Ross Imburgia, we chatted to professional athletes, producers, photographers, team managers, marketing directors, musicians, kids on Newschoolers, and every once in a while an inebriated vagrant stumbling along Main Street. They all had one thing in common. Skiing. Even the drunkard loved taking his tricks to the backcountry after a Switchback at Mr. Mike's Pizza.

When I got the call to the Big Leagues to work for Powder, the show went on what I thought would be a short hiatus. I needed time to adjust and then assumed I'd pick up right where the show left off. But plans never work out the way they're supposed to in the ski world. What happened was me seizing this new position at Powder and putting everything I had into the magazine and this website. The bulk of those efforts can be seen August 16 when the Buyer's Guide lands on newsstands. That plug is shameless, by the way.

And while I've learned a great deal in this last year and there is certainly much more knowledge to gain, the time is right to bring the show back. Former listeners, if I know you then I'm sure you have a few questions so I'll answer them.

    Will it be live?
One day, maybe. Live shows are difficult and time consuming.

How do I enjoy this new platform?
Do what you always did. Press play and listen. Homework and real work be damned.

Are they still dropping on Tuesdays weekly?
Time will tell but yes, that's the idea. With some momentum, you'll be able to download the show to your iPod, iPhone, iThing, and enjoy it on your morning commute to a [insert where you go in the morning here].

    Will it be uncensored?
    You know it.

Get your arse to Powder.com for an exclusive interview with the mighty Tanner Hall on first edition of the new Ski Show.

Seriously, go check it out. You can thank us later.

  • Windells Session 4: Ski and Snowboard

As if you needed any more reasons to get your buns up to shred camp at Mt. Hood this summer, Windells just released videos from Session 4 to tempt you even more.

The weather on the glacier has been as good as it gets which enticed tons of pros to get out there and shred under the sunny blue skies.

From Louie Vito and JJ Thomas on the snowboard side of things, to Tanner Hall and Keri Herman on the ski side- Session 4 was all time and filled with mega-bangers.

There's still plenty of fun to be had at Hood, so why don't you pull the trigger and rally up there for Session 5 or 6.

    Do it.

    Words: Windells

Throughout the ages, there have been many foursomes that have defined sensibilities, innovated trends, and affected generations. In the sixties, The Beatles revolutionized rock music. In the eighties, Dr. Peter Venkham and the other Ghostbusters saved a legion of citizens from getting slimed. Flash forward to 2011, and it's a fair comparison to say that Nick Visconti, Curtis Woodman, Jason Robinson, and Stevie Bell combined their collective radness and gave campers at Windells the best summer snowboard experience they could ever want.

The group may seem, at first, to be an unexpected foursome, but during Session 4, their unique personalities and boarding styles combined seamlessly, creating a powerhouse of fun. From morning to night, the guys were all over the place, harnessing the same energy of a whole cabin of campers. Tons of park laps, hours and hours spent in the Concrete Jungle and BOB, backflip clinics on hill, powerslide contests off hill, Bonfire Pipe 2 Pipe, and the biggest, most intense, game of knock out you have ever seen (Stevie could probably play defense in the NBA). But don't take it from us, here's what the crew had to say.

"Our session involved snowboarders from all types of backgrounds and different styles. No matter what you're into in snowboarding: taipans, tight pants, baggy pants, rails, jumps, backcountry, there's people that are experts are in all of those fields. There really wasn't anything you couldn't learn or get involved with. It made me feel like a kid again." - JRob

"Session 4 was so fun because everybody was friendly, super stoked to be at camp, and had a good time, whether it was on hill or on campus: product tosses, the sickest skate competition I have ever seen in my life, and wonderful dance parties. I had an amazing time hanging out here. I'm exhausted from all the skating, snowboarding and activities. I'm gonna go take a nap for a couple days. - Stevie

"We had a really good group of people. Everyone was down to have a really good time on and off hill and there's always activities to do, rain or shine, whether it is basketball, tetherball, playing pool, or skateboarding. You're moving and doing fun things the whole session. Sleepy Bear needs a nap." - Curtis

"Windells helps me keep my girlish figure and fit into my skinny pants. I can't even eat enough good food fast enough, because I burn off so many calories skating and snowboarding all day. Screw Jenny Craig, I need Windells." - Nick

Session 5 is next and will be filled with even more shredding, skating, and fun!
