A D V E R T I S E M E N T My Info
| About Tara is an elder member of the women's wakeboarding community, not necessarily in age but in experience. She is the only member of the XG '05 women's field to appear in every X Games since 1997 and has 5 medals to show for it. In 2004, Tara proved she's still got it, taking silver at XG as well as second at Worlds and Nationals. In addition to ruling the wakeboard world, Tara found time to earn a college degree in '05. Tara has been competing longer than any other female at X Games 2004, which will be her 8th X Games, and has won just about every title in women's wakeboarding. The first ever women's WKB gold medalist ('97), she has a total of 4 medals under her belt already (2 gold '97, '00) and 2 bronze ('98, '01)), and after recovering from a serious injury to her left heel for almost 2 seasons, she is working on Tootsie Rolls and Whirlybirds in anticipation of X. Known for going big and aggressive on the water, Tara was unchallenged her first three years on the tour (1997-1999). She has two X Games gold medals and ended 2000 ranked #1 on the Pro Tour. In March 2001 doctors diagnosed a stress fracture of her right heel. which sidelined her for the first few stops on the Pro Tour. Although she says she is not back to 100%, she has been able to take home 2 second place finishes since her return in 2001. |
