| Todcast Just Got Even BetterWell, I guess we'll see about that. I almost didn't think they could get any better, but they are claiming it pretty big-time over at Quiksilver. Apparently its time for Season Two... and look, they even made a trailer for it! But yes, if you haven't caught on yet, the Todcasts are amazingly funny, and they aren't ALL about snowboarding. (As you'll see from the cameo's in the first episode below. Tony Hawk, what?!? Bruce Irons, what?!?! Ken Block, what?!?) Although it sure looks like Quik is gearing it up to make sure each of their pro-snowboarders gets a character part in at least one of the "megacasts" they promise to grace us with at the beginning of each month. This means we get to look forward to hanging out with the likes of Travis Rice, Austin Smith, Bryan Fox, and Louie Fontain. Or more like, Todd gets to hang out with those guys, and we get to watch the hilarity that ensues. Oh Todcast, you've gotten us all riled up! Now its time to deliver! Catch up on last season over at the Quicksilver blog. Todcast Tuesdays. Channels: Snow Todcast Tuesdays ep19: Skate Sesh With Chad BartieTodd Richards hits the wild cement jungle (a.k.a. Skate Park) of Carmel Valley with Aussie pro-skater Chad Bartie and Micah Mattson (we think Mattson is from the indie punk band "Kut-U-Up"?). Wait for the ending and Chad's "Harsh Tranny." Pure Gold. Channels: Snow What Snowboarding Should BeIt's summer, which in snowboard terms means a bunch of dumb rail jams in inappropriately warm places. Hey, we even had one in Portland this weekend! There were meth heads and hoochies, all celebrating the championships of the Cricket Campus Rail Jam. Really exciting. Check out the full story here, or hey, just watch the video. But honestly, even Todd Richards announcing couldn't mid inner city snowboard seem that awesome. Any who, we just wrote that so we could make this video from the Mt. Baker Banked Slalom seem timely. You see, the Banked Slalom is one of the greatest snowboard events and the antithesis of a summer rail jam. Usually, it's all about riding powder, but since there was none this year, we could concentrate on filming (for the finals.) So enjoy and try to think about events like this when you think about snowboarding this summer, not rail jams! Channels: Snow | ||||||||||||||
