Biography

16th in 2005 Dew Tour, Rally co-driver: Christian Edstrom; Car: Subaru WRX STi One of the most talented, popular people ever to ride a motorcycle, Pastrana has trouble staying healthy on dirtbikes, and in fact he's riding his bike less in order to concentrate more of his time on Rally car racing. At XG '06, Travis is entered in Freestyle, Best Trick, SuperMoto and Rally. With gold medals in 5 of the 7 years XG Freestyle has been held, Travis - an awesome trick innovator - is easily the most successful rider in the history of the event. Supremely talented at everything he attempts. Although a newcomer to Rally Car Racing, Pastrana scored his first-ever overall win at the 2006 Rim of the World rally in April. The X Games Rally covers some of the same ground as Rim, which should give Pastrana some confidence.

One of the most talented, popular people to ever ride a motorcycle, Pastrana absolutely can't stay healthy racing (or riding) dirtbikes, and he suffered through another injury-aborted Supercross season. Lucky for him that he's supremely talented at everything he tries, be it freestyle, Rally car racing, BASE jumping, whatever. An awesome freestyle trick innovator, Travis is the most successful rider in the history of XG Freestyle, and he stands a good chance to regain gold at XG '05 (but he is dealing with a few nagging injuries). Also competing in SuperMoto, TP will have an improved bike, and a top 10 seems likely. His current interest and focus has switched to Rally car racing.

One of the biggest names in action sports, Travis is supremely talented at about whatever activity he tries -- freestyle, motocross, BASE jumping, Rally car racing, etc. -- but struggles to stay healthy. A supreme trick innovator, he'll bring something new and huge to XG X. Still undefeated in XG Freestyle (4 for 4). With broad racing experience, he should be competitive in XG SuperMoto.

Travis is one of three racers leading the charge into what promises to be the most successful decade in motocross history. Along with perennial champ Jeremy McGrath and heir apparent Ricky Carmichael, Travis is breathing new life into a sport that has lived on the fringes for decades. His prominence in both racing and freestyle brings both disciplines to fans who may otherwise not be interested.
