| About Yvonne will be racing in WX for the fifth time in '06, and her finishes have been half fantastic (bronze in '03 and '04), half unremarkable (16th in '02, 12th in '05). She's a fast rider who loves quot;the explosionquot; of the race start and pumping through rollers for speed, and was ranked 2nd at the Swiss National Championships in '03 and '04. In Mar. Having gotten back on snow four months later and getting one screw removed in September, however, she says she is as strong now as she was before the accident. A top ranked rider in the SBX-rich country of Switzerland, Yvonne really made a name for herself by taking back-to-back bronze medals at Winter X '03 and '04. She is one of the Swiss Olympic hopefulls and is working on a university degree in geography and ethnology from the University of Zurich when she isn't traveling the world with her snowboard. In a country renowned for turning out successful female boardercrossers, Swiss rider Yvonne Mueller stands out. At her second WX Games in 2003 she grabbed the last spot on the podium and then went on to become the number one ranked boardercross competitor by the WSF. In addition to her boardercross success, Yvonne is an accomplished big mountain rider and kiteboarder, who has also taken her off-season job as a bike messenger to the next level by competing in bike messenger races. In her third season of competition, Yvonne is climbing the ranks of boardercross. Her main focus is on the ISF World Tour, in which she placed 10th for 2000-2001.
