Today, more than ever there is a need for people to become aware of the issues at hand and pro-actively fight for change. The opportunities to be selfless and contribute are endless and the large bucket is passed to you. Vans is very proud to introduce a new series on offthewall.tv, Pass the Bucket, a look into the humanitarian side of today's most celebrated action sport athletes, musicians, artists and foundations. Pass the Bucket presents a raw and transparent conversation of today's shocking realities and potential solutions.

Pass the Bucket, Episode 4: Stephen Murray
June 22, 2007 marked a day that the Action Sports World will remember for a life time. A day that has forever changed the life of professional BMX Dirt Jumper & three times U.S. Gold Medallist Stephen Murray. In the midst of doing a double back-flip, Stephen Murray crashed while competing in the BMX Dirt Finals at the Dew Actions Sports Tour, in Baltimore, Maryland. It was quoted as being "one of the worst crashes seen in bmx" one that would ultimately be career ending, for this incredibility talented, 27 year old athlete.

Fully paralyzed, Stephen now lives a different reality but see's it as a platform to help others. Through his "Stay Strong" foundation and missional determination, Stephen surprisingly finds a powerful way to pass the bucket.
