Today in BMX

By: Teddy Parker

Proper finally got a new site with a bit more user friendly vibe to it and cleaner looks. Glad they did because the old site was looking dusty...

Failure just released sneak peeks of the new Jeremiah Smith signature frame. It's called the Flyin' Lion and so far, judging by looks only, it seems pretty solid and has some pretty welds and fun little cutouts. Peep the pix in the gallery...

Spencer Bass advanced to Free Flow Tour Finals in Salt Lake City by winning the Texas stop of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour recently. Check the pic of him whipping in the gallery...

The Shadow Conspiracy did a fun new feature on their site, maybe this will continue as a series with their riders, where they post a photo gallery capturing a "month in the life of" Trey Jones. He is a Floridian rider for Fit and Shadow... funny thing is there are pictures of snow... hmmm...

Vital BMX posted this video of San Diego riders getting down at the Ocean Beach Skatepark. (Gotta love that name... OCEAN BEACH... sounds so dumb) Sick riding in this from some you know and some you don't...

Steve McCann Wins BMX Big Air

Steve McCann Wins BMX Big Air

McCann throws solid run of double front to double whip to earn gold

Unfortunately, one of the best riders to do it on the mega ramp and last year's champion, Chad Kagy, came down hard on his leg and would only complete a run worthy of third place earning him the bronze medal. This made the race for gold quite exciting, however, as it seemed to be anyone's game with Kagy only completing a "safety run" (a run to secure a solid score, usually as a first run, to allow for a back-up score in case of not landing more difficult runs).

And so that race..
