At first glance, Dawid Godziek appears to be flying toward the light at the end of the tunnel, as if he's part of a "Star Wars" sequel or something. In reality, it's a photo of him riding one of several unique spots he found underground in Warsaw, Poland.
"Every bike trip brings me amazing new adventures and experiences," Godziek, one of European's top BMX riders who is from Poland, has said.
In this case, the adventure took him to the construction site of the new metro line where he was given permission to show his stuff.
It was a unique venue for a BMX rider, and it produced several exceptional photos and a video of the adventure, courtesy of Red Bull UK. Here's the video:
"I'd already ridden in Warsaw a lot and so was a bit bored of the usual spots," Godziek told Red Bull U.K.. "I wanted to find something unusual, and the construction site for the metro has a lot of obstacles for BMX, including stairs, walls, concrete cradle, and in the end the subway tunnel. It's not like anywhere else here."
Or anywhere else for that matter.
