If your idea of adventure includes packing up the mountain bikes and boarding a plane to some far-flung destination, add the dunes of Namibia to your adventure bucket list.
Located within the largest conservation area in Africa, (the Namib-Naukluft National Park) Sossusvlei features vivid orange colored sand dunes, that are among some of the highest found in the world.
Recently, a German mountain biker named Andi Tillmann embarked on the long journey to Namibia with some close friends. On a search for remote adventure, hoping to achieve that one thing that still had yet to be done, they hiked more than 1000 feet up with the intention of riding down.
Eye level with a panoramic horizon, their descent is a triumph. Watch and marvel.
