Habitat's Treat For The Feet

By: Tom Morin

Habitat Shoes
Workshop spawn, Habitat, has announced they'll be getting into the footwear game, and will have a whole new team to rock their kicks. After a decade as a deck manufacturer, the DNA boys (DNA Distribution) have decided to give the Habitat brand a new objective, which rhymes with meat, and is pretty neat, and that objective is feet.

To coincide with this announcement Habitat has also let it be known they'll have a whole new team of steez' to inhabit these treats of the feet. The lineup will go as follows: Guru Khalsa, Marius Syvanen, Austyn Gillette, and, Alex Davis. This comes as no surprise because their main team, as in their deck riders, are under contract by some footwear heavy-weights. Some company up in Oregon that goes by Nike sponsors Habitat deck riders: Steffan Jankowski, Danny Garcia and Tim O'Conner, and then there's last year's S.O.T.Y. and Habitat deck rider, Silas Baxter-Neal, who rides for Adidas.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say these shoes are going to have a Gravis feel to them. That's becasue Burton owns Gravis and DNA Distribution, which distributes Habitat. Not to say that's a bad thing, Arto left a pair of Gravis' at my friend's house, which I rocked for a quick minute, and ladies couldn't enough of MORINformed. Anyway, long story short Habitat's making shoes now, and here they are:

These are called the Quest.

These are called the Lark.

These are called the Ibex.

And these are called the Basin.
