Learn How To Make A Stencil

By: Tom Morin

How to Make A Stencil
You ever wonder how to make a stencil? Well, you should of by now, remember this is a DIY (Do It Yourself) scene. Don't rely on the brands to tell you how you should decorate you skate/surf/snow boards, walls or even your surroundings. I'm not condoning the defacing of public property, but it is one way of getting you name out there. Just ask Shepard Fairey (The genius behind Obey) and Neck Face how far their "free" of cost billboards have gotten them over the years.

Anyway, just get your creative on. Say hello to the Dragon of Hanalee, or salute the Captain, or just simply keep it Ian Mackaye style. However it may be, get creative, think of a funny combination of words and spread your gospel. I don't, know things like, "BMXers Use The Side Door," or "The Fat Olson Twin Was Here," or "Barack My Obama (if you live in a conservative town)," or even "Listen To The Wide-Ons," if you want to show your support for MORINformed.

Here's a little video courtesy of Jason Filipow and Hurley on how to create a stencil:
