O'neill Evolution Tour 2010- Wrap up and Results
The Grand Prix in Mammoth wasn't the only contest going down this past weekend- Across the big pond, all the way over in Davos Jakobsorn, Switzerland- the O'neill Evolution Tour was taking Europe by storm. The "Evo tour" was a 6 star TTR event that was action packed as snowboarding's finest competed for TTR points as well as for a chunk of the $100,000 prize purse. When it was all said and done, IPOD (Iouri Podladtchikov, swooped in and won the Men's halfpipe contest. For the ladies, it was ms. Haller Ursina who stood atop the podium and took home gold. Marko Girlc stepped into the spotlight winning the gold for his trickery in the slopestyle event.

Take a look at the amazing 2010 Swatch TTR 6Star O'Neill Evolution Halfpipe snowboarding finals coming straight from Davos, Switzerland. Featuring all the podium action from every angle. See Peetu Piiroinen and Markus Keller throw down two huge runs only for Iouri Podladtchikov to step it up and blow them out of the park with a Crippler, Back 9, Front 10, finished with his amazing Cab 10 Double Cork. Truly a wonder to behold!
Watch these highlights from the Swatch TTR 6Star O'Neill Evolution Womens Halfpipe Snowboarding Finalsin Davos, Switzerland. Watch as Snowboarders Ursina Haller, Cilka Sadar, Manuela Laura Pesko, Kjersti Buaas, Caroline Beliard and Sarka Pancochova fight it out for the 1000 TTR Ranking Points.
The competition was fierce! Congrats to all the winners! It was a great showing in Switzerland!

Jay Peak Owners Buy Burke Mountain
The Mountain has 260 acres of skiable terrain across 50 named trails with 2,011 vertical feet and 100 acres of maintained glades
Burke Mountain, in Northeast Vermont, has new ownership with strong ties to the region.
An ownership group made up of principals in Jay Peak Resort,Vermont has purchased neighboring Burke Mountain. Ariel Quiros, who along with Jay Peak president Bill Stenger bought Jay Peak Resort from Mont Saint-Sauveur Valley resorts in 2008, is heading the group, called Q-Burke. Stenger is involved as well.
