Product Review: Volcom's Todd Bratrud Sock Puppets

By: Tom Morin

For those of you who don't know, I was recently in Vegas, and while packing I thought there's one necessity when going to a city of sin. A sock puppet of course! Coincidentally, Volcom has just released a line of sock puppets by their Featured Artist, Todd Bratrud. I hit up my friend Mike G over at Volcom, and he hooked me up with a couple of puppets who were ready to get their Vegas on.

Well, these things are rad, there are several different models, and besides being a hand character they double as an actual sock.

The first night there, I went out with the wildest of the socks, Carlos Calcetin, he got a little too out of control and in the process got lost, so he now lives in Vegas, which is probably a better place for him. The second night I cruised with Cluade Chaussette, who just wanted to sip martinis and talk to ladies, which he did all night long.

For more info, like where to get your hands on some of these, go to www.volcom.com. Here's some pics, by GrindTV Nate, of the second night with Claude (sorry they're a little blurry, they were shot with a cell phone, I didn't want to lose my camera):
