We can't resist. We want snowboarding to invade the beach. It's just what we do. The snow shredding is once again returning to the Los Angeles beach town of Hermosa Beach on Saturday December 10. Pier Avenue will be taken over by sloppy snowboard fiends jonesing for just a chance to witness some riding in the City of Angels, mere feet from the sand.

Spyder Surfboards will bring 60 tons of man-made snow and transform Hermosa into a 70 degree Winter Wonderland. The event starts at 1PM and is estimated to last until around 4:30 PM. Head over to www.spydersurf.com for more details to come.

Mountain High will be kicking off its 2010/2011 snow season this year with its Bring Your Board party at Podium Distribution's headquarters in Torrance, California on August 28th. DVS and Mountain High will be trucking in 25 tons of snow for an all day snow jam in Podium's back parking lot. The event will feature a snow session on a giant, man-made jib, a skate jam in the Podium skatepark, live music, DJs, food, a vendor village, and plenty of meet-and-greets with pro riders. The event is free to attend, but skating and snowboarding will be limited to guests who purchase a season pass from Mountain High.

"No snow chains required!," says DVS Snow Team Manager Ricky Melnik. "This event will be a great showcase of urban-style snowboarding that people can both witness and participate in right here in Los Angeles.

DVS Recently went on a trip through Arizona and Texas called the "Don't Mess With Raising Arizona" tour, combination of the Texas slogan, "Don't Mess with Texas," the 1987 Coen brothers film, "Raising Arizona." Ozzie Wrong, who does not belong, aka Ozzie Wright, and Dean Morrison have dropped their Innersection sections. Remember, this a contest to get a part in the next Taylor Steele movie, the top 5 make it, and you, the people, decide by voting.

Ozzie's section is pretty, pretty, pretty cool. He rides a unicorn from the planet Zorn, performs the music that is heard, which is the song The Unicorn From The Planet Zorn, and of course, kills it in the water. Click here to check it out.

Torey Pudwill has had a good few weeks. He won best trick at the Maloof Money Cup NYC, he finished an overall third in the same contest, he finished second at CPH and had the best video part of the year so far in Hallelujah.
