    We figured it'd be a good idea to keep tabs on one of our British visitors again. Tommy Searle's report card so far would be a "C" if he were not a complete virgin to Supercross racing, so in that case will give him a "B". He's not wadding himself up, he's not wadding anyone else up, and he's making main events. He rode very consistently in the main at Phoenix, starting 8th and ending 8th, surrounded by some very fast company. Tommy's quietly getting this thing figured out, and it will likely help his speed in the Nationals (his real goal) all that much faster.
    This is one of those shots that is sort of too perfect to be real, and in a way, it is. It’s Mike Sleeter wearing the never-before-seen One Industries gear at the KTM test track in Southern California. Shot the week after the 2008 Lakewood National, I went out to make that stuff look as good as possible: rented some big studio lights, hired an assistant, and the One guys brought everything they had to make it look great. It was 104F that day, but it didn’t matter because I just knew we were making magic, and I dunno, based on this one, I think I was right. Canon 1Ds Mark 2, 70-200. (Jeff Kardas Photo)
