Go big or go home was the theme for Wolf Creek's opening day this year. Though usual early season conditions consist of patches of snow and rivers of dirt that help you work on your ollie-ing skills, that was not the case this past weekend. Wolf Creek surprised everyone with their opening day announcement - beating A. Basin and Loveland Pass who typically claim the title as the first resorts in Colorado to open.

The Never Summer crew charged up there and made sure they didn't miss out on this ridiculous conditions so early in the year.

Never Summer: Wolf Creek Ski Area opened on Saturday October 8th and claimed the "1st Opened" title usually taken by ABasin or Loveland. Never Summer hard chargers Micah, Gags, Joey, and Nick woke up at 3am to make the four hour drive to shred on the official first day of the season. This wasn't the typical day one...a man made ribbon of death. Wolf Creek opened with three feet of powder! The guys spent the day shredding pow, drank a few post epic day brews, and drove all the way home. Here's hoping everyday this season is this good!

We know what you're thinking..."Ugh SKI Haus? I'll pass on all the bib-wearing fools."

However, I've been there...and the local Santa Monica shop happens to sell a shit ton of snowboards as well as those double planks and jousting poles that come with them. So, in order to spread the word, Doc's Ski Haus is throwing a party Thursday, December 9th and will be showing one of the year's most epic shred flicks, "Nowhere", giving away a Never Summer snowboard, and throwing free PBRs in your mouth. So get out to Santa Monica and see what Doc's is all about. The party gets crackin' at 7 pm.

You better bet we'll be attending this. It's going to be the definition of epic.
