  • Your Weekly (not really) Odyssey Update

    Odyssey
Odyssey (and child company Gsport) are pretty much the most influential brands in the BMX world. Let's be honest, every time they post an update people are all over it oogling over the new goods, be it new colorways, products, or materials. Seems like they could post a picture of what their office looks like and people would be tweeting it and blogging it everywhere... so, this week.

Odyssey put out some pictures of the new transparent colored GSPORT plegs which are SAID to last longer than regular plegs so, it is either really cool or wicked lame. I am a metal guy, sort of, SORRY.

They also posted up some pictures of white and purple rain directors they just got in and 7KA rims in gold, white, and a very N/H flourescent pink. Yes, flour pink...

    Check the images below!!!

    ODYSSEY

Also, don't be fooled by the gold "rims." Those guys over there are weird. I guess making fun of the new "brakeless" rims that are getting weaker and weaker every day... HAH!

ANOTHER UPDATE!!! Who could have seen this amazing thing coming? The chameleon seat (and pedals) by Odyssey... just what it sounds like. Watch the video!

  • Mike Ardelean Bike Check (odysseybmx.com)

Mike Ardelean is a very cool cat who I have been lucky enough to befriend, since he lives in Los Angeles. Super humble, not afraid to talk, and have fun as well. He also has great taste in design and stuff. He rides for Verde Bikes and I think is hooked up by Odyssey as opposed to being a "team rider." So check out his latest bike check because they are always a treat...

  • Jim Bauer Bike Check

I know, I know! Bike checks are lame. I don't like them. Thing is. A bike check with Jim Bauer, more often than not, has nothing to do with parts. It also definitely has nothing to do with what's "in" or not. Jim Bauer is an individual in every aspect of life. He's not going to do what you do. He doesn't do that to hope to stand out or be "cool" and unique, but rather to let the bike be simply another blank canvas on which art can be applied. Jim uses spray paint, duplicolor to be exact. He also uses some great techniques in this video that you can apply to whatever art you are doing... Try it! That's the idea of art, if you ask me. Try things. Make something different. Be creative. No limitations. Jim rides for Metal Bikes and Odyssey BMX (he is the product designer and something or other for Odyssey BMX). His bikes are always dialed and always fresh. WATCH!
