Livin' Louie and Bobby's Life give a glimpse into the lives of these pros and what it's like to live like them. The first episodes just hit the web and show these pros training in the pre-season and getting warmed up on their home mountains.

Who do think is living larger? Bobby or Louie?

  • Red Bull Super Natural teaser released

Travis Rice and Red Bull have teamed up once again to the change the way we perceive competitive snowboarding. The Red Bull Super Natural is gearing up to be the most progressive contest in snowboard history. In an effort to find the best overall snowboarder in the world, Rice conceptualized a contest that would combine all elements of competitive snowboarding, but in the backcountry of interior British Columbia.

Sound crazy? That's because it is.

Rice and Red Bull spent this past summer scouting the perfect location and building hundreds of log features for the event. The course is only accessible by snow cats and helicopters and mixes man-made features with natural elements. We're talking lumberjack-built pillow lines, dozens of tree-jibs, log ladders, transfers and even a massive kicker that will have 250 foot-wide take off.

On February 2-9, eighteen of the world's best riders will descend upon BC for this monumental contest. The event spans seven days because Rice wants to make sure that conditions and snow pack are the best possible, to ensure all riders fair runs. The format of the event will be the best of two runs with the top nine scores making it unto the third run. The rider that puts down this best third run will take the highly coveted win. This is more than just a simple contest title; it's earning the prestige of being the world's best snowboarder.

Invited Rider List (unconfirmed): John Jackson, Nicolas Mueller, DCP, Lucas Debari, Scotty Lago, Kazu Kokubo, Jake Blauvelt, Gigi Ruff, Wolle Nyvelt, Mark Landvik, Devun Walsh, Pat Moore, Shaun White, Terje Haakonsen, Mark Carter, and Travis Rice.

Wildcard spots: Winner of North Face Masters, Winter X Games slopestyle gold medalist.

  • Levi LaVallee shot at redemption on New Year's Eve in San Diego

Second chances don't happen everyday but Levi LaVallee will get his shot at redemption on New Year's Eve in San Diego when he attempts to break his own world record jumping his snowmobile 361ft over the San Diego Harbor.

The mental hurtle LaVallee must get past may prove more difficult than the jump itself. He's only one year removed from critically injuring himself attempting to break the same record. The night to which LaVallee was to make his leap into stardom on National Television didn't pan out as he had to settle for the world record in practice. That is until this year when LaVallee gets a second opportunity.

"I am so pumped to be able to come back to Red Bull: New Year. No Limits.," said LaVallee. "Last year obviously didn't go the way I was hoping, and I am excited to have another chance at this amazing opportunity."

This time he'll be joined by Robbie Maddison, a two-time alumni of Red Bull New Year. No Limits. Maddo will be looking to jump his bike more than 400 feet to eclipse the current record of 391 feet.

"Jumping long distances is a passion of mine, and I'm excited to come back for New Years Eve and sail over San Diego Harbor," said Maddison. "400 feet is my goal. It's not all about getting the world record to me, it's more about understanding this feat and the commitment ahead to achieving what most would consider an impossible jump."

Maddo kick-started No Limits in 2007 by jumping his motorcycle 322 feet over a football field in Las Vegas and followed it up in 2008 by jumping onto - and off - the 96-foot-tall Arc De Triomphe at Paris Las Vegas.

The event will air live from San Diego, Calif., on Saturday, December 31 at approximately 11 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. PT on ESPN.

  • Travis Rice on The Conan Show

Last night on the one year anniversary show of Conan on TBS, Travis Rice made an appearance as a celebrity guest. Conan and Travis talked about all things snowboarding, his performance in The Art of Flight, outrunning avalanches, and the current "muted" fight between skiers and snowboarders.

Big ups to Travis for appearing on the show and giving the mainstream a glimpse into world of backcountry snowboarding.

We need more interviews like this so people understand that there's more to snowboarding than just red-haired Olympic medal-seekers.
