    You’ll notice one thing in a lot of these action pics – they’re typically of really fast guys trying very hard to go very fast. In other words, there’s a lot of shots of RC and Bubba here. This one right here, this is the one that started it all for me. I somehow managed to scrounge up a photo pass for the 2002 Red Bud National and was using a Nikon D1 that I bought (very) used from Steve Bruhn to snag this moment in time. Shawn Norfolk, then with Renthal, bought it from me and it ran on the back cover of RacerX. If I had died right then, I’d have died a happy man. Thanks Shawn! Nikon D1, not sure about the lens.
