    One of a zillion cool Justin Barcia shots, this one just happens to be of him on an 85 at Loretta’s. I was down there doing a bunch of work for Shift that year, so I stalked Barcia like a paparazzi all week long. He was just as fun to watch then as he is now, so it wasn’t all bad.     I couldn’t find the original for this, but here’s the ad, which is even better. That’s Josh Grant in his rookie season (2004?) launching the ski jump at Red Bud just after the start. I had almost missed the start of the moto (in fact, I did) and was running to the track when I saw them coming so I stopped and snapped this shot. I was hoping for a sky full of guys strung out, but Grant was so far ahead already that he was all alone in the air. Pretty cool. (Jeff Kardas Photo)
