    INDOOR SKATEPARK AND MUSEUM

    Skatelab opened in December 1997 with little fanfare. Since then, Skatelab has had over 75,000 skaters use its ramps. Originally designed by Team Pain and built by many local volunteer skaters, it's the first skatepark in America to use Finland Birch on it's ramps.

    Skatelab has been featured in every major Skateboarding magazine including 2 cover shots. It's often used in Movies, Videos and TV commercials.

    Skatelab is fully Air Conditioned



    Skatelab has constantly improved and become more and more fun. Please be sure to get the most from your visit to Skatelab and be sure to check out our entire museum both downstairs and upstairs.

    Skatelab also has FREE wifi internet access be sure to request the current password at the front desk and bring your own laptop.

    Skatelab is proud to serve Dippin Dots Ice Cream and is the only location in Simi Valley where they are available.

    Skatelab has been a member of the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce since 1998 and a member of The California State Historical Society since 1997. Skatelab is Museum #24 on the Ventura County Museums list and is home to the first Skateboarding Museum in the world with over 5,000 items on display 7 days a week.

    The Skateboard Museum is and has been 100% FREE since 1997. With 3 permanent locations and several "pop up" displays Skatelab Skateboarding Museums are educating people about The History of Skateboarding worldwide. The Museum inside SKATELAB of California is home to the SKATEBOARDING HALL OF FAME which was founded in 1997, with over 50,000 visitors each year. Skatelab has a collection of over 5,000 vintage skateboards as well as skateboarding memorabilia. Skateboard history lives on at Skatelab!
