It all started with a group of friends around Jackson, Wyoming that decided to start filming the sick lines and huge air they were getting on their snowmobiles. Some of the OGs like Dan Adams, Cameron Elliot, and Shad Free along with Producer and founder of Slednecks, Jason Moriarty decided that they needed to capture how they were pushing the sport to the next level. In 2002, founder Jason Moriarty and his business partner John Keegan started Slednecks Outerwear and Apparel as a spin off of the film series to address the need for cool looking functional outerwear and apparel that currently hadn't been addressed by the industry. In the past five years Slednecks has jumped head first into developing and designing clothing for riders on and off the sleds. In 2006 Slednecks and team rider Paul Thacker attempted and successfully pulled off the first ever legitimate world record ramp to ramp snowmobile jump of 248 feet. Today the bar is still being raised as there is no end in sight for the progression of the sport. Having just launched the eleventh film in the series, Slednecks X, the series continues to lead the way for new generations of snowmobile and action sports enthusiasts. In 2007, Slednecks helped coordinate and source the snowmobile stunt scenes for the latest Vin Diesel Hollywood action film, Babylon AD, due for release in March of 2007. Slednecks also signed on to develop a snowmobile, dirt bike, and music live show with Monster Energy Drink that will start touring in late fall called the Monster Energy Slednecks Invasion Tour. The Tour will focus on bringing the Slednecks big mountain vibe to the people and will tour North America for the next three years in a city near you. Slednecks continues to innovate and would like to give thanks to all the athletes and fans out there that have pushed themselves and the sport to new levels. These individuals embody the Slednecks spirit of self expression and freedom. The freedom to face your fears, push your limits, and be who you want to be, not what someone else tells you to be. |
